A Wonderful Day Out At The Park

Residents at Willows Care Home in Romford have been enjoying some wonderful days out, with two groups heading to different local parks for sunshine, fresh air and plenty of fun.

One group visited Raphael’s Park, where residents enjoyed a lovely day surrounded by nature. The outing gave everyone the chance to take in the beautiful surroundings and enjoy some wildlife spotting, with squirrels and ducks providing plenty of interest along the way. There was also time to sit down together for a picnic, followed by a refreshing ice cream in the sunshine.

For another group, the destination was Cottons Park, where residents made the most of the outdoor gym equipment. It was a great opportunity to keep active while enjoying time together in the open air, with plenty of laughter and encouragement along the way. After making the most of the park, the group returned to Willows and enjoyed a tasty slice of Madeira cake, providing a lovely treat to round off the day.

Both outings offered residents something a little different, while giving them the opportunity to spend quality time together outside the home. From watching wildlife and enjoying a picnic to getting active and trying the outdoor gym equipment, there was plenty to keep everyone entertained.

Days out like these can be a wonderful part of life at Willows, providing opportunities to enjoy familiar local surroundings, spend time in the community and make new memories together. Most importantly, residents were able to enjoy the simple pleasures of a sunny day, good company, delicious treats and plenty of laughter.
