Visitors to Willows cannot fail to notice that a colourful montage featuring Pac-Man, Spiderman (complete with giant web) and other colourful characters made out of post-it notes currently takes pride of place in reception!
In case you’re wondering what it’s all about, we recently participated in a competition to create a design on the theme of “When you’re smiling” against the other 10 Canford Healthcare homes.
So how did we come up with our design? It was a real team effort. Pac-Man reminds our residents of their childhood and always put a smile on their faces. The minion represents the residents when they become quiet and elderly, while Spiderman and his web embodies the superheroes at Willows – the staff who looked after residents so well during the pandemic. The butterflies signify freedom and remind us that we are Covid-19 free.
