Domestic Assistant (Permanent)

£12.65 per hour
At Tunbridge Wells Care Centre, we are currently recruiting for Domestic Assistants to join our housekeeping team.
We have a full time permanent vacancy for 32.5 hours every week. The working hours will be organised according to a 12 week rota and will require flexibility between Monday and Sunday, we can be flexible with start/finish times for shifts.
Purpose of Role:
Working under the direction of the Head of Housekeeping and the Registered Manager, to ensure the highest possible standards of cleanliness in all parts of the home.
Key Duties:
- Carrying out your duties to a high standard of cleanliness for our residents.
- To clean in accordance with the standards and frequency as detailed within the Home’s Infection Control Policy and Cleaning Manual.
- To use cleaning products and materials, ensuring the correct product and dilatation as specified in the cleaning manual and the COSHH guidelines.
- To clean all sanitary areas respecting the privacy of residents and visitors and as specified in the cleaning manual.
- To follow Infection Control guidelines for the cleaning of isolation and other high-risk areas within the Home.
- Be aware of COSHH regulations and adhere to them at all times.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Firm understanding of infection control
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Flexible and positive ‘can do’ attitude
